Hi, I’m Anna!

I’m a web developer and designer and I am here to help you!

My dad taught me how to do basic HTML when I was in elementary on Notepad (the mid 90s) and I made my own backgrounds and buttons using paint! I remember having my own little bright pink and green website saved on a teal floppy disk! ✨

Throughout my life I would play around with website design on various website builders and customize the CSS (anyone remember Piczo?!) I’ve made so many little custom websites but never went past that.

In the beginning of 2020 I decided that enough was enough and it was time for me to finally get into web development and do it for a living. So here I am!

I specialize in Custom & Unique WordPress websites. You will notice I do have a personal preference for 90s website aesthetic & space. But that is me! Let’s work together and create a beautiful website for YOU!

Why ‘Alien Girl’?

When I started my business I could not decide on my brand. I was going to go by my middle names Liz Shirley but I could not come up with a design.

I was stuck…

One night, I couldn’t sleep and then suddenly it hit me –
ALIEN GIRL.

I immediately went and bought my domain name and everything fell into place after that.

While there are multiple definitions for the word ‘Alien’ the definition that resonates with me is: a person or thing differing from another or others.

We are unique and ‘alien’ in our own way.

This is my dog Bowie. He ensures that it is a positive work environment and that everyone is happy. He also ensures that a proper schedule with breaks is followed.

    Along with running my own business, Alien Girl, I also work with the company, GeekPack® – supporting and providing tech assistance to fellow web developers.
